Jersey Shore Inspired For Sweet Sixteen Themes
Just about every teen knows or has heard of MTV’s Jersey Shore which is a realty TV show that featured 4 young men and 4 young women that stay at a shore house for the summer. The Jersey Shore reality “cast members” proudly call themselves Guido and Guidettes.
I admit that this show became quite the addiction for me and even though I do not necessarily approve of their wild times at the Jersey Shore they cast members were quite entertaining and the images of their looks will forever haunt my memories. Who could ever forget Pauly D’s wild blown out hair, or Mike (the Situation’s) funky abs or adorable Snooki’s bump-it hair. These stars came off either solidifying any assumptions of typical jersey shore boys and girls or left you with a new impression. Whatever it may be, I thought how fun it would be to have a Jersey Shores sweet sixteen theme.
This would be such an affordable and fun theme and all that is needed is a basic venue to host the event such as a gymnasium, dance hall, hotel ball room or even at your own home.
The attire is quite affordable since anyone can do it for under $20. Chances are you already have a lot of the items needed such as:
- Hair spray
- Hair pins (to bump it like Snooki’s hair)
- Spray tan
- Fresh manny (manicure that can be done by you or professionally)
- Wear whatever articles of clothing you want (a tank top and jean shorts works)
I think they guys would have a lot of fun with this theme too. Seeing them break out their Ed Hardy muscle tees and some of them experiencing their first ever fake tans. It would be quite hysterical.
It’s a Spicy Meatball!
Food is easy for this. The Jersey Shore kids are all Italian so go for a traditional Italian family style dinner.
You can serve spaghetti, baked ziti, raviolis or Chicken Parmigiana. Set up your tables with the typical red and white checkered Italian table cloths with a nice little hurricane candle as the centerpiece.
Dance the night away
Hire a DJ and get crazy. Gotta play some wild house music like the Jersey Shore kids love to get down to and don’t forget your Vinny fist pump move!
Have a Guido dance-off. See who can impersonate Vinny or Ronnie’s dance moves the best.
This theme is not meant to be serious. Get absolutely funky and crazy with it. You can just try and look absolutely ridiculous with crazy wigs and accessories. Just enjoy and have fun with this sweet sixteen theme.
