At home will suit this theme just perfect. You will need an area for the TV and game systems to go and some space for your rockin’ guests to play the games and dance in general.

Attire:
Dress up like a rock star of course! The more dramatic, the better!

Food:
Again this theme is so appealing to teens that just having snacks, pizza, soda and a birthday cake on hand is ideal.

Entertainment:
You will need to purchase either Guitar Hero or Rock Band for hours of entertainment. Although; I recommend purchasing Rock Band over Guitar Hero if you are going to have more than a few guests. Rock Band is a group game which means more guests can play at once, versus Guitar Hero in which only 2 players can play at once.

The great thing about purchasing these entertainment ideas is at the end of the night you will still have the games to enjoy as a family. Yes, adults love these games as well.

Decor:
You can decorate the party venue like a backstage setting. Buy some cheap band posters and hang them all around the room.

Make music instrument cases. You can paint some boxes black and then get stencil sets to paint words on the boxes like “Jackie’s guitar” or “Dan’s Drumset. If you break it start running home to your mama now”. Show a little character on them.

Buy some colored light bulbs in red, green and blue and place them in little lamps around the “rock band” TV area.

For the tables you can purchase guitar shaped bowls for your chips and dips etc.
