Egyptian Theme 16th Birthday Party Idea

This is a unique sweet sixteen birthday party theme. if you are artistic or know someone whom is, you can make a lot of props to place around the room to really give the feel of being in an Eqyptian palace.

Attire

You can dress like a Pharoh or the Pharoh’s wife, servants or common man or woman. You could also dress as an the Pharoh’s entertainer. Egyptian costumes can be purchased or easily fabricated by purchased fabric from your local fabric store.

Decor

Find someone who has decent painting skills to paint your Egyptian props. You can have pyramids, sphynxes, hieroglyph walls. Buy some rich red, purple, gold and white fabric to drape around the room and walls to give the feeling of a palace.

You can also purchase Egyptian Theme Kits that contain backdrops and columns.

Set up a mock “Pharoh’s Treasure” table. Go to a thrift store and purchase antique looking goblets, jewelry boxes and cat statues. Purchase some gold spray paint and paint them to give the illusion of items made of gold. Drape “play coins” and jewelry all over the table as well.

Serve flat bread with hummus as an appetizer, fruit platters and jasmine rice with shish kabobs.

Hire a Belly dancing team that does Egyptian style belly dancing to perform and have them provide a belly dance lesson for your guests.
